Member Endorsement vote for Democratic Candidate for Governor of California and Insurance Commissioner has been counted! Rememeber that a candidate must reach a threshold of 60% of the votes in order to be endorsed.
The Democrats of Napa Valley Club endorsed Xavier Becerra for Governor with 84% of the vote. Tom Steyer received 16% of the vote.
No candidate for CA Insurance Commissioner was endorsed since no one received 60% of the vote: Ben Allen 42%; Jane Kim 32%; Patrick Wolfe 26%.
There are 8 top candidates running for Governor of California – 6 Democrats and 2 Republicans. Remember, in California we have a “jungle primary” on June 2 (ballots mailed 1st week of May) and the top 2 “vote getters”, regardless of party, will move forward to the November election.
