The Democrats of Napa Valley Club is Napa County’s largest Democratic Club, encompassing the areas from Napa to Calistoga & Angwin. Our purpose is to advance Democratic values and elect Democratic candidates to local, state, and national offices. We care about the environment, affordable education and homes that are affordable, health care for all, immigrant rights, and equal pay for equal work through grassroots organizing and public education. The Democrats of Napa Valley Club is a local club chartered by the official Napa County Democratic Central Committee, the arm of the California Democratic Party for Napa County. Goals
The Democrats of Napa Valley Club, as the local embodiment of “America’s Majority Party” for voters and candidates alike, will advance our goals through several broad programs:
VOTER REGISTRATION. Throughout the year, in every community of Napa Valley, we will be signing up new Democrats to vote. We will increase our margin of Democrats over Republicans to ensure Democratic candidates and programs prevail in the county.
PRECINCT ORGANIZING. Our all-volunteer Grassroots Organizing Team will reach out to voters where they live, providing information on endorsed/other Democratic candidates and legislation at the local, district, state, and national levels, and motivating our supporters to vote. That personal attention should substantially increase turnout in the precincts we cover.
CANDIDATE & LEGISLATION SUPPORT. We have a long-range plan to support good Democratic candidates at all levels – including local offices, such as city councils, school boards, judges, and special districts. In addition, we will work with our base and elected officials to propose legislation and support legislation at all levels through lobbying elected officials, town halls and council meetings, phone banking, canvassing, etc.
COMMUNICATIONS. To build the Party and support Democratic efforts and campaigns, we will proactively communicate our message through the media to both Democrats and the general public. We will also build relationships with community allies to promote our shared values and priorities.
FUNDRAISING & INFRASTRUCTURE. The resources to accomplish our goals come from our local supporters in Napa Valley. We will raise funds to keep our Club going, pay for meeting space, help our candidates, and build an infrastructure of volunteers and like-minded community groups to benefit all Napa Valley Democrats.
